John Oldham used the ideas developed by Olmsted and Vaux in the 1850s from the construction of Central Park in New York to design the park at the Narrows Interchange. Sadly, we have failed to follow through on his work and the result is spaghetti.
Boston’s Big Dig is a fabulous project that provides an exemplar of how to create and activate public open space.
Why not sink it instead and use the land above to link Perth and Kings Park?
